Nokia Files for Patent on Vibrating Temporary Tattoos

June 2, 2012

Nokia has applied for a patent on temporary tattoos that would vibrate when your phone was ringing or the battery was running low.

To dismiss alerts produced by the temporary tattoos, which would feel like a tingling sensation, the user would simply have to scratch their arm, according to the US patent.

The temporary tattoos would be made using ferromagnetic ink which could detect magnetic fields and 'sense' when your phone was ringing.

According to Nokia's patent for the temporary tattoos, it would be inserted under the skin, meaning users would need to have a minor surgical procedure.

The technology for these temporary tattoos or fake tattoos could also be applied superficially on top of the skin, but they would be less resistant to wear and tear.

These vibrating temporary tattoos could eliminate all of those awful ring tones.

This is just one of the many new and interesting uses for temporary tattoos.
